New Apple 13″ MacBook Pro now offers up to 32GB RAM

For the first time ever, the 13″ Apple Macbook Pro will offer 32GB of RAM with the new 2020 refresh that features up to 10th gen Intel Core-i7 quad-core processor. This will greatly leverage the laptop’s performance to work smoothly with high-end content creation applications. Another big change in the new 13″ Macbook Pro is the replacement of the old Apple Butterfly keyboard with the backlit Magic keyboard. The Magic keyboard is nothing new or surprising, it’s just that this 13″ laptop is getting this thing for the first time.

10th Gen Intel Processor

At maximum, the new 13″ Macbook Pro is configurable up to configurable to 2.3GHz quad‑core 10th‑gen Intel Core i7 processor with a turbo boost up to 4.1GHz. Apple says that the new Intel Iris Plus Graphics allows this laptop to deliver up to 80% faster graphics performance.

First 13″ Macbook Pro to support 32GB RAM

While the base model equips 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, the top model comes with 16GB of RAM. However, now you can raise that 16GB bar by configuring the new Apple 13″ Macbook Pro with up to 32GB RAM at 3733MHz. Video editors, 3D designers, music producers, & other content creators working on high-end projects will greatly benefit from the extra amount of RAM.

Up to 4TB SSD

As the content creation software or applications are advancing, professionals nowadays can’t get enough of just 256GB or even 512GB SSD. Modern systems and demanding apps require higher capacity SSDs with ultra-fast speeds.

You can configure the new 13″ Macbook Pro with up to 4TB SSD supporting 3.0 Gbps sequential read and write speeds. Unfortunately, Apple charges ridiculously high for SSD upgrades. You can easily find a lot cheaper SSD (such as this Sabrent 4TB SSD) in the market that blows away the speed of Apple SSDs.

New Magic Keyboard

Apple Macbook Pro 13″ now incorporates a new Magic Keyboard that features a refined scissor mechanism with 1mm of travel. Users always complained about the old Apple Butterfly keyboard. Apple should’ve incorporated the Magic Keyboard earlier in the smaller MacBook Pro. Anyways, better late than never!

Along with the Magic Keyboard, users also have access to fancy features like Touch Bar, Touch ID, & Force Touch trackpad.

Connectivity I/O

In terms of connectivity, the 13″ MacBook Pro features four Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports. As of now, these ports offer the fastest possible speeds for external peripherals at 40Gb/s. For audio, the laptop comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Apple claims that the new 13″ Macbook Pro features up to 30 days of standby time, thanks to the built‑in 58-watt-hour lithium‑polymer battery. In the box, you will receive a USB-C Charge Cable (2 m) along with a 61W USB‑C Power Adapter.

Featuring a Retina display with True Tone technology, the 13″ Macbook Pro supports a screen resolution of 2560 x 1600 (227 PPI) along with an impressive 500 nits brightness.
