Visual Features of Samsung Q950TS 8K TV
8K Standards Compliance
Not only Samsung Q950TS will comply with all the 8K standards, but it will also be among the first to support native 8K content playback like other 8K QLEDs in the lineup.
Infinity Screen
What makes Q950TS gorgeous is the Infinity Screen effect, thanks to the bezel-less design. Due to extremely thing edges, this 8K QLED TV provides the maximum screen-to-body ratio of 99% in the market. Even at such a large size, Q950TS is just 15mm thin across the entire display.
Quantum 8K Processor
Unlike other 8K TVs, Samsung Q950TS comes with a Quantum 8K processor that boasts amazing upscaling capabilities with the help of AI. So even if you’re watching low-resolution content, you will see major improvements in the image quality. Basically, this new AI technology detects the attributes of the pixels and further restore different elements of the image in order to perform intelligent upscaling.
ScaleNet Technology
Don’t get confused with AI ScaleNet and AI upscaling. Unlike scaling, the main purpose of AI ScaleNet technology is to provide an uninterrupted viewing experience to the user. Sometimes, the internet connection is too slow to stream 8K content, this is where AI ScaleNet technology comes into play. It automatically compresses the content before reaching the TV and restores it afterwards. As a benefit, the bandwidth decreases significantly resulting in smooth content streaming. And yes, Samsung Q950TS comes with support for the AI ScaleNet technology.
Adaptive Picture Technology
As of now, many displays support adaptive brightness feature. However, the new Samsung Q950TS 8K QLED TV features the Adaptive Picture technology that smartly adjusts the distribution of light within a particular scene to provide the best viewing experience in any lighting conditions.
Audio Features of Samsung Q950TS
Surround Sound
In terms of sound, Samsung Q950TS is the first TV in the industry to feature surround sound. Despite being ultra-thin, this new 8K QLED TV incorporates speakers on all sides of the display. Interestingly, it also comes with subwoofers on the back to provide additional depth to the sound.
Object Tracking Sound+
This is where Samsung takes the immersive experience to a whole new level. By using AI, Object Tracking Sound+ pans the audio according to the movement of the objects in the scene.
Tap View, Multi-View, and Digital Butler
Sometimes the process of connecting mobile devices to TV screens can take enough time to destroy the user experience. Now, with the help of Tap View technology, you just need to touch your mobile device to Q950TS to mirror your screen within no time.
Samsung Q950TS QLED TV also features a Multi-View technology that lets a user project the mobile display over the 8K TV “simultaneously” along with the TV content.
Using infrared technology which Samsung calls Digital Butler, this 8K QLED TV can control and detect non-IoT devices.
AVA (Active Voice Amplifier)
Sometimes, dialogues may not be audible due to the surrounding distractions in the environment such as the rumbling noise of the trucks, machines, etc. To deal with this issue, Samsung Q950TS 8K QLED TV actively detects the troublesome frequencies and pushes the dialogue volumes up dynamically.
Integration with Q Series Soundbars
Although the Q950TS features a 5.1 channel surround sound audio, it can also seamlessly integrate with the new 2020 Q series soundbars. In this way, you can have an additional channel for an even better immersive experience.
Other Exciting Features
With the help of the Universal Guide, Samsung Q950TS is able to detect and analyze the content that the user likes. After the analysis, it can wisely offer recommendations according to the viewer’s choice. In addition, users can also benefit from the Samsung TV Plus service that runs on the internet to provide up to 100 streaming channels. Furthermore, fitness enthusiasts can keep track of their activities via Samsung Health on TV service.
Well, it seems like a lot, but that’s not all. Samsung Q950TS 8K QLED TV also integrates with Bixby, Amazon Alexa, and Google Assistant supporting all of their latest AI features.
