ASUS ProArt family has received great reviews as they offer better bang for the buck. Asus ProArt PA329Q has been a favorite for many Mid-Budget Professionals, and now its big brother has entered the market i.e. “PA329C”. Both of the displays share a lot of similarities and differences. Let’s analyze if one is better than the other.
The biggest advantage that PA329C has over the PA329Q is the support for HDR-10. Since HDR content is now catching trend with the rapid progress in technology, a lot of professionals are leaning towards HDR Displays. The peak brightness in the new PA329C goes all the way up to 600 cd/㎡ which puts it into the category of VESA DISPLAY HDR 600 Category. It dwarfs the PA329Q at 350 cd/㎡.
The ProArt PA329C comes with the DICOM support used in Medical Imaging. It supports 100% RGB and 98% DCI-P3 Color Gamut which is 0.5% and 8% more than the Proart PA329Q respectively. The connectors used in the newer model supports USB Type-C along with HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2, however, they both support the same USB 3.0 standard.

The ProArt PA329C consumes more juice than PA329Q when it comes to power. ASUS says it consumes <56.84W when the power is on which is 9.35W more than PA329Q. The Gross Weight along with packaging of the newer model is estimated at 16.7 Kg whereas the previous model was 1 Kg less at 15.7 Kg.
Conclusion
If you’re not crazy about HDR content, you’re totally fine with the PA329Q, Although the improvement in the Color Gamut is much appreciated in PA329C but the difference is not easily visible to the eyes unless you’re using meters. But if we have to choose the one even if we are not into HDR, we will definitely go with ProArt PA329C to be a little Future Proof. The newer model is a little expensive than the previous one but the cost difference can also reduce if you are able to find a good deal.
