Xiaomi has refreshed its TV portfolio with its new Mi TV stick, which was just launched in Germany. The Chinese manufacturer did launch its Android TV box in china last year. The company started teasing this all-new product for quite some time now. But, the newly launched product will only go for pre-order and it will only start shipping from 20th July. Processor
The listing shows that the TV will be available in 2 different variants. One with only a Gigabyte of RAM and the other with 2 GB of RAM. First, let us talk about the 1 GB RAM variant.
The Xiaomi MI TV STICK 1GB will be powered by an unidentified processor with quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU. On the Graphics Side, the stick will be powered by the ARM Mali-450 GPU.
The 2 GB RAM Variant comes with Amlogic S905Y2 Processor with a quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU. The Graphic related tasks are managed by Mali-G31 MP2 GPU. The 2 GB RAM variant will be pretty capable to carry Graphics- intensive task when compared to the 1GB RAM Variant
Software
On the software front, both the variants run on Android 9.0 and Xiaomi’s own Patchwall pre-installed. It has a Google-Assistant Support out-of-the-box. The TV Stick support Apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Youtube and it has dedicated Buttons to open all these apps on the TV Remote. You will also get Google’s Native Apps like Google Play Store, Google Play Music, and other Google TV apps. Other than that, you can download Apps from the Play-Store, which is pre-loaded.
Connectivity
The Mi TV Stick has dual band Wi-Fi support. The Stick supports Bluetooth 4.2 as well.
Sound
Mi TV Stick supports Dolby Atmos Audio and DTS Surround sound on both the variants .
Display Resolution
Xiaomi Mi TV stick supports different resolutions in each variant. The 1 GB RAM variant comes with Display support for up to Full HD resolution. But, the 2GB RAM variant comes with support for up to 4K UHD Resolution.
Ports
Both variants show different properties when it comes to port. The 2 GB RAM variant will be using USB Type-C. The single gigabyte memory model will be using Micro-USB for connecting to your TV.
