LG UltraGear 27GN950 Gaming Monitor: 166Hz, 98% DCI-P3

Along with the new 2020 UltraWide and UltraFine monitors, LG will also showcase its new UltraGear 27GN950 monitor at CES 2020. It is a 27″ 4k monitor with a NanoIPS display panel. Due to its high refresh rates, gamers will enjoy the smooth fluid performance. Additionally, this LG UltraGear monitor covers 98% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and supports HDR and NVIDIA G-Sync technology as well.

Bit Depth and Resolution

With the support for 1.07B colors, 27GN950 is capable of producing images with rich colors. Hopefully, it is a true 10-bit monitor instead of 8 Bits + FRC. This LG UltraGear gaming monitor supports a 4k UHD 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) resolution display with a Nano IPS panel that allows for a wider color gamut with 98% DCI-P3 coverage. To get even more accurate colors, this monitor also offers the option for hardware color calibration.

Refresh Rate

LG UltraGear 27GN950 boasts a refresh rate of 144Hz which is further overclockable to 166Hz. Since it is an NVIDIA G-Sync compatible graphic card, it offers a variable refresh rate and supports adaptive sync technology. As a result, you will not experience any screen tearing that causes unpleasant visual artifacts.

Brightness

In terms of brightness, LG 27GN950 gaming monitor offers a typical brightness value of 450 nits. Since it supports DisplayHDR600, the peak values can reach up to 600 nits.
