Razer just launched its new Viper Mini Gaming mouse that comes in a smaller length and grip-width than the original Viper and the Viper Ultimate. Also, the newer model is lighter in weight with a design optimized for quick swipes. The latest budget-friendly Razer Viper Mini features 6 programmable buttons, optical switches and offers 8,500 DPI Optical Sensor resolution.
Difference and Similarities between the new Razer Viper Mini vs Viper vs Viper Ultimate Gaming Mouse
While the original Viper and Viper Ultimate feature a 16,000 and 20,000 DPI optical sensor resolution respectively, the latest Razer Viper Mini supports much lower optical sensor resolution with 8,500 DPI (only in terms of comparison). It also falls short of two programmable buttons against the siblings. (6 programmable buttons with 2 side buttons on the left and one above the scroll wheel)
In terms of durability, the Razer Viper Mini is rated for 50 million clicks whereas both the Viper and Ultra models are rated for 70 million clicks. Users who like to configure their own memory profiles via Razer Synapse 3 should know that the Viper Mini will only offer a single memory profile instead of 5.
Although the newer compact model does not offer extreme features as other members of the Viper family, its performance is still much better than an ordinary gaming mouse. Moreover, its lower price also makes it a nice choice for gamers.
Now let’s briefly touch on the similarities between these pointing devices now. All of these variants use Razer’s proprietary optical mouse switch technology for lower response times. Additionally, they all use the same Razer Speedflex cable for greater flexibility, Chroma RGB for dynamic lighting effects, and 100% PTFE mouse feet.
With the help of the Razer Synapse 3 application, you can customize the RGB lighting effects as well as configure the mouse buttons as per your needs.
