As of now, there are very few single DIMM 32GB RAM options in the market. With this new memory kit, you can utilize the full potential of the latest AMD and Intel platforms. AMD X570 and Intel Z390 Support
Since both AMD and Intel now support single DIMM 32GB DDR4 memory, the Gigabyte Designare 64GB RAM kit will work seamlessly with the latest AMD X570 as well as Intel Z390 motherboards. Both platforms support up to 128GB of RAM. However, they only feature a 4 DIMM configuration. So only kits with 32GB capacity per DIMM can reach up to that level. With four Designare 32GB RAM modules, users can experience the full potential of Z390 and X570 platforms with 128GB 3200MHz DDR4 RAM.
AMD TRX40 and Intel X299 Support
Gigabyte Designare RAM is also compatible with the high-end desktop platforms such as AMD TRX40 and Intel X299. With eight DIMM configuration, you can max out the RAM of these platforms up to 256GB. Again, it is only possible with 32GB capacity per DIMM for obvious reasons. One thing to keep in mind here is that this Designare RAM is not a quad-channel memory kit. So you will not be able to enjoy the high bandwidth benefits in these high-end platforms.
Design and Performance of Designare RAM
To ensure smooth, stable and efficient performance, the Gigabyte Designare DDR4 32GB RAM module features high-density heat sinks with anodized aluminum. Not only it helps to dissipate heat efficiently, but also increases the lifespan of the module. Unlike Aorus, the Designare memory modules make use of silver and white aluminum heatsinks instead of RGB LEDs.
In terms of performance, this 64GB Designare RAM kit provides a sweet spot combining 3200MHz speeds with 16-18-18-38 tested latency. For Intel 300 series platform, the SPD latency is set at 19-19-19-43 whereas, for the AMD Ryzen platform, the SPD latency timings are 19-19-19-43.
