MSI Optix MAG301CR: 21:9 200Hz curved gaming monitor
MSI has introduced a new 30-inch MSI Optix MAG301CR curved gaming monitor that features a 200Hz refresh rate display with a wide 21:9 aspect ratio. Not only gamers, professionals such as content creators will also appreciate this latest monitor. The new MSI Optix MAG301CR utilizes a VA panel that supports WFHD (2560×1080) resolution, low response time, high contrast, and covers a large portion of DCI-P3 and sRGB color gamut.
MSI Optix MAG301CR equips a VA panel that comes with HDR support but delivers 300 nits of brightness. The monitor also comes with MSI’s proprietary Night Vision feature. Night Vision smartly amplifies the dark areas of the screen without overexposing the bright areas. This feature greatly helps gamers as they can identify subjects in the dark areas of the scene.
For better color accuracy, the latest MSI Optix MAG301CR covers up to 98% of DCI-P3 and 127% of sRGB color gamut. There aren’t plenty of curved gaming monitors in the market that offers this much color space.
MSI claims that its new Optix MAG301CR covers up to 1.07B colors which in theory makes it a 10-bit monitor. But it’s more likely that MAG301CR achieves 1.07B colors via (8-bit + FRC) instead of true 10-bit depth.
With the help of FreeSync technology, this monitor can match the frame rate of the GPU to eliminate visual artifacts like screen tearing, stuttering, etc. Complementing that, the low 1ms response time and high (200Hz) refresh rate allows MAG301CR to achieve a sharp and outstanding smooth motion.
MSI Optix MAG301CR boasts an immersive viewing experience with the combination of 1500R curvature and 21:9 aspect ratio. Monitors with 21:9 aspect ratio offer wider screen real estate than those supporting 16:9 ratios.
